How We Support You

We design spaces that ease daily rhythms, support regulation, and reflect what your family needs most.

  • The FormKind Home assessment

Sensory-friendly corners are important, but what about curating a whole home that feels attuned, welcoming, and supportive for everyone who lives there? The Formkind Home Assessment takes a regulation-first look at how each room contributes to daily life, helping families create spaces that feel steadier, more sensory-aware, and affirming. Home is where family life unfolds, and this service helps it work with your rhythms, not against them.

  • Cozy chair with blanket, book display, and sensory tools — a soft space for rest and regulation.

    Designing for regulation

For families ready to reshape daily rhythms. This virtual service helps you create clear, flexible layouts and sensory-informed cues that enable your child (and you) to move through the day with greater ease. We focus on the small changes that make a significant impact, designing each space to support regulation, reduce overwhelm, and fit the way your family already lives.

  • Visual design mock-up showing zones for reading, rest, and sensory tools — created to support flow and regulation.

    Full Space Design & Implementation

We partner with you to create a clear, supportive vision for your home. Together, we shape a design plan that reflects your child’s needs and your family’s rhythms, then Formkind brings that vision to life. With sensory-informed layouts, curated elements, and guided implementation, your space becomes manageable, grounded, and ready for daily life.

  • Classroom with bean bag chair and visual calm-down cues — designed for regulation and access.

    Therapy & Educator Space Support

We collaborate with therapists and educators to design spaces that facilitate regulation and engagement. Through layouts, visual anchors, and sensory-aware choices, we help classrooms and clinics feel ready for learning, connecting, and focusing. Whether shaping a reflection zone, therapy practice, or learning area, our goal is to create environments that facilitate growth, connection, and attention.

  • Designing for Play & Regulation

We help families create play spaces that encourage both joy and regulation. Sometimes that means shifting the layout, sometimes adding or swapping a few well-chosen items, always with your child’s interests and needs in mind.

Each design layers in visual cues, sensory variety, and natural movement opportunities, creating an environment that invites creativity, exploration, and connection.

Our Design Process

  • We begin by looking closely at your space, what’s working well, and what you’d like to shift. Together, we’ll explore your child’s routines, your hopes, and how you want the space to feel and function. To help us get started, you’ll complete a short intake and can share photos, voice memos, or a video walkthrough, whichever feels most comfortable for you.

  • We create a visual plan shaped by your space, your child’s sensory needs, and the textures and patterns that feel at home in your environment. This includes a collaborative mood board, layout options, color palette suggestions, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings. Together, we refine the details to build a design plan that supports your daily life.

  • As your new space comes together, we help you observe how it works for your child and family. We offer gentle support, reflect with you, and suggest changes so the layout matches your routines, minimizes overwhelm, and provides what your child needs most.

  • At Formkind, follow-up is part of the design, not an afterthought. We reconnect to make sure your space continues to serve you as intended. Whether it’s fine-tuning, simplifying, or expanding what’s already working, we help you build on a strong foundation.
